The Voice of Fashion - Part 1; Common Mistakes
Hey rosettes! So today I decided to start a new series (yes, I will still be continuing my posts on earrings) about the basics of fashion and commonly asked questions that my friends have so graciously emailed me.
A: Color blocking is when you take a FEW colors that compliment each other and customize your outfit to strictly follow the chosen colors. Let me give you a nice example. Say you want to use the colors black and pink. This is what I would do (the following clothes and accessories are stuff I actually have; I am not making them up. Even if you don't have the closet of a princess, you can still color block with whatever you have). The number one rule in color blocking is that you stay with very few colors so you don't look like an exploding rainbow. Second, make sure you don't have too many graphics, words, or any kind of print (animal print, floral print, etc.) because the point of color blocking is to stick with solid colors. I would most likely my black pants with velvet engravings (I know I said not to have too many designs, but these specific engravings are EXTREMELY subtle and add a bit of texture to the pants) with a pink lace top. I would put on a black headband and wear pink flats. Also, I would wear a combination of pink and black bracelets. You can tell that in this example, I strictly stood with black and pink. It is very important to not stray off of your original colors.
I will answer a question and give you 7 tips (7, because it is a number of the rebellious and I really hope you know my blog address by now) for all beauty/makeup related topics. And again, please show me your support by commenting down below and by telling me any questions about this sort of stuff that you happen to have (I don't make up the questions, so it has to come from somewhere, right?). Don't hesitate to ask, because it is the only way you will learn.
Q: "What is color blocking and how is it done?" ~ Crazed by Colors (i just made that up)

Tips for daily fashion/beauty:
1. When applying makeup, emphasize either your lips or your eyes. You can make either one as dramatic as you wish, but if you do it to both, you will look like a clown. There are exceptions, though. Dance, costumes, red carpet walks, for ex. And if your dress if very simple, then you can try it and see how it looks on you. I personally LOVE emphasizing my eyes and I leave my lips at a neutral shade.
2. When choosing between glossy or matte lips or nails, make sure the rest of your outfit corresponds. Matte lips don't go with sparkly dresses or shiny earrings.
3. Matte tends to associate with solid, bold colors, whiles glossy tends to go more with playful, sparkly outfits.
4. Make sure that if you have a brown headband, you don't wear black heels. Brown and black RARELY mix.
5. White pearls can go with either gold or silver toned outfits, so if you have trouble deciding, just grab some pearls and you're good to go!
6. Always make sure that you apply a clear coat before putting on nail polish. This ensures that your nails don't turn the color of your nail polish and makes removal easier. This way, the color will stick to your nail more easily and will provide a barrier for your nail from the damaging effects of nail polish.
7. Never lick your lips!!! Sure, they provide temporary lip gloss, but they dry them out and cause them to look chapped. So if you constantly moisturize your lips, but they still look chapped, then stop licking them (unless your lips taste like candy. If so, then you are allowed to lick them.) and you will be able to see the results in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!!! Believe me, I tried and it worked. And my lips can dry out super fast!
Well that's it for now and in the comments, make sure to tell me if you are a fan of a messy bun/ponytail or a sleek hairstyle (Idk myself.....depends on the outfit (and the mood 😉) I guess). Bye!!!!
